Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Administer intake, tracking, and documentation for employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD, and LTD; issue eligibility notices, certification requests, and follow‑up reminders; monitor return‑to‑work dates and escalates complex cases.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, changes, terminations, beneficiary updates, and COBRA triggers; submit required information to carriers, brokers, and third‑party administrators.
  • Support open enrollment and benefits communications by preparing materials, scheduling meetings, and responding to employee questions.
  • Maintain records of active job openings and received applications; manage job postings; review applications for entry‑level and non‑exempt roles; coordinate and schedule interviews.
  • Maintain employee files and compliance documentation, including I‑9s, E‑Verify records, and audit support materials.
  • Run routine HR and benefits reports, providing data and documentation to HR leadership as requested.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, leave, onboarding, and general HR matters; provide timely responses and escalates issues requiring additional judgment or approval.
Qualifications
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle data with confidentiality, and strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Flexibility to meet business needs, including occasional early‑morning start times as early as 4:00 a.m., approximately once per month.
Compensation & Benefits
  • The wage for this position starts at $70,000 annually, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience and qualifications.
