Job Description

Job Title: General Laborer
Location: Madison, IL
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lift and move materials as directed
• Load and unload vehicles
• Dig and refill holes
• Mow grass, trim vegetation, and operate equipment as needed
• Assist with general manual labor tasks and other activities as directed
• Follow directions from supervisors and perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred:
  Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• 0–4 years of previous experience
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work on time
• Ability to follow directions and work under direct supervision

Work Environment:

• Physical labor is a major component of the role
• Must be able to handle objects weighing less than 30 pounds for most of the workday
• Occasional exposure to occupational risks, including cuts, burns, or toxic chemicals
• Occasional exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes
• Work is conducted primarily in a manual labor setting
