The Abb Vie EXCEL Externship is a two-day immersive experience for sophomore students interested in future internships with Abb Vie. Students will join us at Abb Vie's Headquarters in Lake County, IL during the Summer of 2026 to:

• Get immersed in Abb Vie's culture
• Gain hands‑on experience in a variety of key business areas
• Build an extended network of Abb Vie representatives, senior leaders, and students from across the country
• Participate in cross‑functional professional development opportunities
• Learn more about Abb Vie's career opportunities
• Be considered for an internship for the following summer

Abb Vie will provide travel, transportation, and lodging for eligible students.

The Abb Vie Excel Externship in Business Technology Solutions serves as a key talent pipeline for our Business Technology Solutions Abb Vie Internship Program. Externship participants are strongly considered for Internship opportunities within Business Technology Solutions for the following year.

Our BTS team works on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide, while also combining technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem‑solving. Abb Vie's worldwide business offers you an opportunity for a variety of potential work experiences that are aligned to a variety of functional areas, including:

• Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Automation Engineering
• Cybersecurity
• Data
• Infrastructure
• Software Engineering

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between Dec 2027 - June 2028.
• Majoring in or strong interest in exploring opportunities in:
  Computer Science, Data Science (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), Automation, Computer Engineering

• Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem‑solving abilities
• Previous internship or related experience
• Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher preferred
