Description:
TEKsystems’ Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Senior Service Now Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract s contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.
Candidates must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. A Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment, and Security+ certification must be obtained within 14 days of the start date. As a Senior Service Now Developer, you will lead configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the Service Now implementation. You will work with stakeholders to deliver digital transformation solutions focused on request fulfillment, automated workflows, and ITIL processes such as Request, Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the standup, configuration, and implementation of Service Now’s ITSM, ITOM, TSM, TSOM, and OMT modules
• Create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles
• Enhance dashboards and reporting capabilities, including scheduled reports
• Configure tool integrations with Service Now (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc.)
• Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades
• Design and catalog business process flows
• Collaborate with the development team to propose and implement solutions
• Design and configure Service Now functions to meet operational needs
• Support business process re-engineering for ticketing and order management
• Analyze customer data to improve user experience and network performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues
• Automate tasks and orchestrate workflows
• Build Service Now applications and integrations in an Agile Scrum environment
• Maintain documentation best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support configuration and implementation
• Apply UI/UX requirements to Service Now development
• Adhere to coding standards and contribute to technical documentation
• Support data migration and CMDB integration
• Mentor junior developers and guide them through project execution
Basic Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (must be obtained within 14 days of start)
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 6–10 years (additional experience may substitute for degree)
• 6+ years of experience in technology infrastructure design, development, and support
• 4+ years of Service Now development experience
• Experience with Service Now upgrades
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to present to customers and leadership
• Willingness to mentor junior developers and adapt to evolving technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Service Now Certified Application Developer
• Experience with Agile development and testing methodologies
• Familiarity with Service Now modules: TSM, TNI, OMT
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence
• ITIL Foundation certification
• AWS cloud and Service Now certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science)
• Experience with large software systems and hardware integration
• Experience with SAFe agile methodology
• Experience transitioning from legacy to modern applications
• Experience with test automation, CI/CD, and Dev Sec Ops
