UAT Lead

BMO is currently sourcing for a UAT Lead (Quality Assurance Analyst – Expert) to support testing initiatives within the Personal and Business Banking line of business. This is a hybrid contract role based in Naperville, IL (3 days in office per week, subject to change per BMO policy).

The UAT Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on large-scale banking projects. This includes developing and executing test strategies, ensuring traceability of requirements, coordinating defect resolution, and providing detailed reporting to stakeholders. This role is key in driving successful project delivery and ensuring alignment with business expectations.

• Lead the development and execution of UAT strategies for complex projects
• Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test cycles
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize and resolve defects
• Represent the business as the UAT owner and act on behalf of Accountable Executives
• Track UAT performance and provide regular reporting and insights
• Coordinate and coach 25+ business users / testers through test execution
• Provide recommendations based on testing data and industry best practices
• Lead change management and communication planning efforts related to testing

• 8+ years of software testing experience with strong business-facing interaction
• Proven experience in SDLC and Project Delivery Frameworks
• Expertise in banking or financial services environments
• Proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile testing methodologies
• Hands‑on experience with test management tools (e.g., ALM, JIRA)
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks

• Experience with Retail Bank Branch applications
• Familiarity with TPSS / TPT systems
• Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams
