Job Description

The General Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience while leading and maintaining the day-to-day operation of the Store in compliance with established policies and procedures. The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI and insurance metrics are met. They coach and empower team members to achieve success in their roles and promote the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving customers.

General Managers lead by example at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
  • Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.
  • Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly reviews.
  • Monitor and maintain all accounts payable and accounts receivable related to the Collision Center.
  • Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
  • Monitor maintenance for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
  • Provide training for all staff as necessary.
  • Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
  • Open and close the facility daily according to established procedures.
  • Conduct daily production meetings to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
  • Manage estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards and manage store capacity.
  • Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.
  • Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings; attend monthly managers meetings.
  • Attend training and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.
  • Store CSI performance review and follow up within 24 hours.
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.

  • Ability to deliver a positive client experience consistently.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to motivate others using effective coaching and management skills.
