Midlane Country Club, located in Wadsworth, Illinois, is a premier public 18‑hole golf course situated on a 350‑acre parcel in Lake County, surrounded by majestic oaks, wetlands, and scenic water views. Originally designed by architect Robert Bruce Harris and opened in 1958, it was renovated with modern updates by Bob Lohmann in 1997. Featuring bent grass tees, large bluegrass fairways, and strategic greenside bunkers, the course offers an excellent experience for golfers of all skill levels.

Ranked among Chicago's top 20 courses by Chicagoland Golf Magazine, Midlane boasts a large practice facility including a 30,000‑square‑foot bentgrass tee with target greens, a short‑game area, and a putting green. Additional amenities include a pro shop and snack bar, along with a history of hosting major tournaments such as the Illinois Open and U.S. Open qualifiers.

• Excellent communicator and manager of people
• The ability to utilize modern technologies (computer: Microsoft Office, POS systems, Quick Books, Face Book and programs in managing workplace procedures)
• Be naturally organized in goal setting, project planning, prioritizing, as well as managing stakeholder relations, budgets and time frames
• Comprehension of golf, membership and banquet related sales:
  Club memberships, Corporate events, Rounds of golf, Group outings, Stay and play packages and golf merchandise
• Will project the company brand of professionalism, fun, relationship building and positive results, in their appearance and demeanor, both externally (with clients and in public), and internally to fellow staff

The GM/HP directs all aspects of the facility including their activities, represents the courses/ Oliphant Golf and the relationships between the facility and its Owners, members, employees, community, government, and industry. Sets and monitors the budget, monitors the quality of product and service to ensure customer satisfaction in all facets of the courses within a fiscally responsible manner. This position will promote an exceptional golf experience.

Coordinates and administers facility policies and provides supervision and support to all department heads. Key areas of focus:
Financial and budgeting- fiscally responsible, quality control-manage by walking around, customer service- the experience, and being the ambassador to employees, customers and ultimately the facility.

• Maintain association membership status (PGA / CMAA)
• Monitors the performance of all daily operations, functions and services; assures high standards and total customer satisfaction
• Oversee the reservation system, starting, monitoring, and pace of play
• Monitors and drives golf shop revenue for merchandise, rounds of golf, cart revenue and corporate functions.
