What You Can Expect as an Interior Upholstery Technician at West StarAs an interior upholstery technician, you will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment, and reinstallation of interior upholstery components on world‑class business aircraft. Duties include general upholstery on aircraft—seats, panels, and other interior items—removal and installation of seats, disassembly, cleaning, repair, and modifications of components as needed. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities- Performing basic to advanced foam build‑ups, patterning, and sewing of seat parts and other upholstery items.
- Ability to perform minor modifications.
- Perform daily turnover sheets.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
- Work independently when required.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (speak, write, read) in English.
- Any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required.
Your ExperiencePrior experience as a seamstress or similar trade preferred.

Your Sense Of ResponsibilityAttend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments. Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain customer‑oriented work habits. Assist in major modification work as needed.
