• Manufacturing / machine operator experience – 2 years preferred.

• Ability to read a tape measure and use hand tools and gauges.

Under crew leader/operator direction, perform a limited range of duties to process rubber and thermoplastic sheeting and flashing products and adhesive accessories. Duties include visual inspection for defects, repairing defects, scrapping defective material, material handling with forklift, hoist and bridge crane, measuring and recording dimensional information, packaging, product identification, interface with bar code system, and more. Incumbent supports equipment set‑up and changeover, prepares product for transfer to subsequent steps, and ensures safety, productivity, and quality of the operation.

Work may involve filling in on other jobs in the plant as required.

• Walk several miles per shift; stand for long periods; pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb ladders; sit to operate forklift; rotation to multiple departments and ability to fill vacancies and overtime needs.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Pass a Physical Abilities Test.
• Good eye‑hand coordination; good hearing and sight to recognize hazards.
• Effective communication with plant members.
• Comprehend and retain standard operating procedures for all tasks.
• Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing concepts.
