Salary Range: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a hands‑on, mechanically inclined Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position involves working with legacy manual machines to produce precision components. A strong foundation in blueprint reading, measurement techniques, and machining principles is essential. Candidates must demonstrate competency through a pre‑employment skill assessment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
• Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve processes and product quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adapt to legacy equipment with minimal automation; troubleshoot using hands‑on diagnostic skills.
• Modify and adjust machine settings manually to maintain output quality and precision.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, scales, and surface plates, with emphasis on calibration and accuracy.
• Apply mathematical concepts including trigonometric functions and angle calculations to machine setup and part production.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Must be able to pass a machining competency test.

Pay Range: $21.60 – $26.40
