Position Summary
The Parts Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing repair parts, supplies and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory levels. Essential functions of the job include parts identification, receiving inventory, inventory management including reporting, parts kitting and collaborating with MRO and/or CMMS Coordinator on any identified issues.
Position Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Issues and receives repair parts, supplies and equipment.
- Identifies, assembles, subassemblies, and associate repair parts by using available publications.
- Reviews and monitors inventory levels to include physical and JDE inventory levels.
- Compares purchase orders with shipping documents and merchandise to ensure accuracy, completeness and serviceability.
- Prepares inventory reports; checks for accuracy by analyzing and investigating issues, receipts and stock movements to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform technical editing by researching catalogs, manuals, publications and parts lists.
- Visually inspect parts, supplies and equipment for serviceability.
- Complete the Lay-Up and FIFO processes.
- Reviews works orders and PM's to verify parts and prepare kits for PM tasks.
- Facilitate the cycle count for the MRO to complete. Update the cycle count records when approved.
- Actively encourage coworkers to work safely and promote a positive work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical education/training strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.
- Working knowledge of JDE and E-Maint preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details required.
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing and verbal) are essential to interface with co-workers, Team Leaders and Managers.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve desired results; also, must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in office and maintenance settings. The employee is required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear as well as interact with other employees. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
