1st Shift

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and/or operating CNC Mills or Lathes to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and experienced in a machining environment that is focused on tight tolerances.
Duties & Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC Mills or Lathes to machine parts to specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain part accuracy.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.).
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Perform basic program edits on CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
- Work collaboratively with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, cutting tools, and feeds/speeds.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC Mills, Lathes, or both (willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude).
- Experience with precision measurement instruments.
- Basic understanding of G/M codes preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
