United Toolers of Illinois (UTI) is searching for a Feeder Fabricator Apprentice for our Belvidere IL facility. The Feeder Fabricator Apprentice is responsible for polishing vibratory feeders for the automation industry under the direction of an experienced fabricator.

United Toolers of Illinois builds high-quality vibratory and rotary feeder systems.

• Polish feeders and accompanying tooling by hand using abrasive and pneumatic tools
• Teardown feeders for painting and reassemble; prep and paint when required
• Drill and tap necessary holes on feeder tables using blueprint and verbal instructions
• Assist with fabricating and assembling feeders per job order verbal instructions and blueprints
• Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications using square ruler and tape measure

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience. Associate’s degree, vocational training or classes in a technical field preferred
• Willing to learn TIG welding on stainless and mild steel
• Basic mechanical and/or metal working experience
• Previous experience using basic measuring tools
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain through onsite training
