1st Shift Lead

1st Shift Lead:
Prophetstown, Illinois

Our customer in Prophetstown, Illinois is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join their team. We’re recruiting a 1st Shift Lead to work full-time. In this role, you will operate robotic welders, coordinate daily production activities, support team members, and help ensure quality and production goals are met.

• Operate robotic welders according to work orders and quality standards.
• Perform machine setups across all robotic welding cells.
• Communicate daily priorities and assign work to the production team.
• Monitor workflow to help meet production goals and scheduled ship dates.
• Complete and oversee inventory counts for blanks, contact tips, and wire.
• Check staging areas and update inventory records daily.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and complete daily audit documentation.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure daily safety requirements are completed.
• Train, coach, and provide guidance to team members.
• Troubleshoot production issues and communicate lost production or operational needs to the supervisor.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts as required.
• Complete First Article Inspection and second-set-of-eyes quality checks.

• Previous manufacturing, welding, or production leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and set up robotic welding equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage inventory, production priorities, and multiple tasks.
• Willingness to complete FAI, forklift, scissor lift, and quality-control training.
• Steel-toed boots are required.
• Must be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a production environment.
