Maintenance Technician
LaSalle, IL Express Employment Professionals of Ottawa, IL is partnered with a leading food manufacturing company in the LaSalle area seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with industrial maintenance experience who enjoy troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement of production equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and responding quickly to maintenance requests.
- Maintain food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and sanitation teams.
- Document maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout and workplace safety procedures.
