Manufacturing Tooling Technician (Aerospace)
Support aerospace aircraft assembly by ensuring required manufacturing tools are available, maintained, and in proper condition. Perform audits of tooling, maintain and repair tooling as needed, and assist with tooling selection and basic design.
Test, evaluate, and document tooling performance to confirm requirements are met. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues directly on the shop floor, partnering with engineers and assemblers to minimize disruptions.
Promote safe tool usage and adherence to applicable aerospace standards in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.
KeySkills & Qualifications
- Hands-on tooling maintenance, inspection, and repair
- Ability to support basic tooling design and selection
- Experience testing and documenting tooling performance
- Strong shop-floor troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Knowledge of safe work practices and aerospace compliance
- Effective collaboration with engineers and production personnel
