As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.

Job Overview:

An ER Nurse provides critical care to patients in emergency situations. They assess and prioritize patient needs, administer treatments, perform life-saving procedures, and coordinate with other medical professionals. They also document patient information, manage crises, and provide emotional support to patients and families. Quick decision-making and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential.

• Make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations

• Licensure: License to practice in the State of Illinois
• Certifications: Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS; AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Red Cross PALS; and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Red Cross ALS required upon hire
• Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN) preferred
• Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) or Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred
• START/Jump Start (must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer)

• Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing

• Experience: At least one-year previous experience in a clinical unit preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required. Requires physical stamina and emotional stability.

Compensation: Hourly Pay - $31.25-$46.88

Incentives: Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentives based on company policies and applicable job codes. Details provided during the interview process.
