We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department with excellence and heart. This is an exciting opportunity for a nursing leader who is driven to enrich lives, inspire teams, and uphold the highest standards of care.
Position OverviewAs the Director of Nursing
, you will be responsible for ensuring that all nursing services are delivered in compliance with professional nursing standards, facility policies, and state and federal regulations. You will cultivate a collaborative, high-quality, and efficient work environment where nursing professionals thrive and residents receive exceptional care.
Lead and oversee all nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices
Direct day-to-day nursing operations and supervise nursing assistants
Ensure compliance with all facility policies, state regulations, and reporting requirements
Foster a compassionate, resident-focused atmosphere for residents and families
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage
Ensure accurate documentation of resident care, incidents, and physician orders
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Assist with regulatory surveys, audits, and inspections
Manage resident admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with policy
Promote teamwork, professional development, and accountability within the nursing department
Current Illinois RN license in good standing
Minimum 2 year of managerial or supervisory experience
, in long-term careStrong leadership and communication skills
Experience in human resources management, strategic planning, and nursing program development
