Mobile Dog Bather

• Company parties
• Competitive salary
• Employee discounts
• Flexible schedule
• Opportunity for advancement
• Paid time off
• Training & development

Woofie's of Barrington-Northwest is growing, and we're looking for a caring, dependable part-time Dog Bather to join our mobile grooming team. We work in a calmer way: no shop-floor chaos and no back-to-back assembly line. It's just you, a fully equipped van, and one pet at a time getting your full attention.

• Drive our state-of-the-art mobile grooming van to clients' homes across Barrington and the Northwest suburbs
• Give luxury spa baths: shampoo and conditioning, blow-drying, thorough brush-outs, de-shedding, nail trims, ear cleaning, and light tidies like paw pads, sanitary trims, and face trims. Plus all the finishing touches that send pups home fluffy and fresh.
• Handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments with patience and care
• Build real relationships with pets and their people, many of whom will start asking for you by name
• Keep the van clean, organized, and stocked, because a tidy bather is a happy bather
• Keep accurate service notes and communicate professionally with clients and our office team
• Make sure every pet is handled safely and compassionately at all times

• Bathing, grooming, kennel, vet, or other professional dog-handling experience preferred
• A calm, confident hand with nervous or wiggly clients
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Physical stamina. This job involves lifting, bending, standing, and the occasional wet-dog wrestling match
• A genuine love of animals that shows in your work, not just your Instagram bio
• Reliability and a strong sense of ownership over your schedule and the van

• Flexible part-time schedule
• A fully equipped Wag'N Tails mobile grooming van
• Competitive pay
• You keep 100% of your tips, with no pooling and no splitting
• Independent work: our back-office team handles scheduling and support
• A path to grow, with training and development for bathers who want to become groomers
• Tuition assistance
• Paid time off
• AKC Safety Certified team
• A drama-free team where you show up, do great work, and support each other
• Community culture and team events
• An employee-driven culture where your voice matters
