Whatis an Occupancy Verification?
The purpose of the property inspection is to verify property occupancy and report the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
Responsibilities- Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment.
- Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
- Complete a short form in an app.
- Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
- Spend extended periods driving and making multiple stops during the day in the assigned territory.
- Complete most inspections in 5–6 minutes.
- Computer with internet connection.
- Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage; you pay for your own gas.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) with app access.
- Printer.
- Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. You can earn an equivalent of $30–$40 per hour. Depending on county, you may complete 20–500 inspections per month, working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set minimum, but work is consistent month‑to‑month.
No mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
