Consumer Packaged Goods Scientist (Temporary Position)
We’re seeking a Materials Science Consumer Packaged Goods Application Scientist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods! As a member of our Materials Science team, you’ll work on new use cases and atomic‑scale simulation applications. This is a one‑year fixed‑term position.

- A proficient computational chemist with postdoctoral research and/or relevant commercial sector experience
- Organize and deliver presentations to lead technical discussions with customers
- Work on case studies demonstrating new simulation/analysis methods for condensed‑matter materials systems
- Develop new methods to automate simulation workflows and parameterization
- Write high‑impact scientific publications and present at conferences
- Train internal and external parties on the optimal usage of Schrödinger software
- PhD in computational chemistry, computer science, computational materials science, or a related field
- Python programming experience
- Background in molecular dynamics simulations/enhanced sampling methods, coarse‑grained force‑field development, and application of physics‑based simulation methods for condensed phase systems
- Familiarity with high‑performance computing
- Postdoctoral research and/or relevant experience in the commercial sector
- Willingness to travel
- Expertise in atomistic‑scale modeling and simulation technology for consumer goods applications (food, packaging, personal care products, and cleaning products)
- Experience with applying machine/deep learning, chemical informatics, and data analysis in materials science research
- Familiarity with common coarse‑grained force fields (dissipative particle dynamics, generalized Lennard‑Jones, and Martini)
- Application of simulations to real‑world products

Estimated base salary range: $100,000 – $145,000. Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
