Dubson Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, a family‑owned and operated business serving Monticello and Piatt County for more than 45 years—is growing and looking to add a Senior HVAC Installation Technician to our dedicated team! In this full‑time, onsite role, you’ll be responsible for installing furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, mini‑splits, geothermal systems, and related components in homes and light commercial buildings.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of installation experience, a passion for high‑quality craftsmanship, and the ability to deliver top‑tier customer service with integrity and professionalism. You’ll work closely with our Lead Installer and field team to provide reliable, lasting comfort for our customers—what we proudly call #The Dubson Difference .

Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, mini‑splits, geothermal units, thermostats, humidifiers, ductwork and gas lines.

Ensure all installations meet safety standards and follow manufacturer and industry guidelines.

Consult with customers to assess needs and provide accurate time and cost estimates.

Collaborate with team members and assist service technicians when needed for repairs or diagnostics.

Maintain accurate documentation of all installations and services.

Perform occasional light electrical work, gas fireplaces, and other services as requested.

Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, safe condition.

Adhere to company safety standards on every job.

Use field service management software (e.g., Service Titan) to manage workflow and updates.

5+ years of experience preferred in HVAC installation (residential/light commercial).

HVAC technical training is strongly preferred.

EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.

Proficient in reading blueprints, technical diagrams, and installation manuals.

Strong understanding of HVAC electrical, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.

Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and on ladders.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Must pass drug and alcohol screening (including THC) and background check.

Must live within 35 miles of Monticello, IL or be willing to relocate.

Self‑motivated with strong time management and communication skills.

Professional appearance and customer‑facing demeanor required.

Must provide personal hand tools and toolbag.

No HVAC side work permitted unless approved.

Company uniforms must be worn at all times.

No excessive personal phone use during work hours.

Willingness to contribute to shop duties and team operations.

No tobacco or vaping use during work hours.

Hourly Pay: $25–$45 per hour based on experience

Company vehicle with take‑home privileges (negotiable)
