We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and roofing, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground mounts.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installations.
- Perform electrical work including high‑voltage and low‑voltage connections in accordance with NEC standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and trenchers safely and effectively.
- Conduct fixture installations and ensure all components are securely mounted.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during installation or testing phases.
- Previous experience as a solar installer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to solar installations.
- Experience with roofing techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems may be beneficial for integrated installations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- $20 - $40 per hour DOE
