• Coordinate with growers on leased land, supervise local staff, and support in‑season research activities such as phenotyping, study management, and data analytics review.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the research program in alignment with Bayer’s HSE, Quality, Compliance, and Stewardship requirements and the Business Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
• Collaborate with project team members to deliver detailed experimental protocols that enable advancement decisions by scientists and product placement decisions for customers.
• Use equipment such as tractors, specialized planters, commercial harvesters, and drones to collect, analyze, and deliver data on agronomic traits throughout the growing season.
• Supervise and direct third‑party labor or seasonal staff to achieve trial and business objectives.
• Travel up to 15% of the time, including peak seasons, and work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Drive a company vehicle, fulfilling all applicable DOT/FMCSA criteria and maintaining a valid driver’s license.

• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, life sciences, engineering, computer science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with connected systems and data management.
• Experience in agricultural research, seed technology industry, or plant breeding.
• Knowledge of region‑specific crop production and farming practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (MVR).
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one and meet all applicable DOT/FMCSA criteria.
• Ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator’s License and FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot’s License.

• Experience with precision agriculture hardware and software.
• History of implementing continuous improvements and innovation.
• Statistical analysis and experimental design knowledge.
• Mechanical and IT aptitude.

Compensation range: $58,498.40 – $87,747.60, plus potential bonus or commission. Extensive benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave. Domestic relocation may be provided for this role.
