Repair Center Engineer II - Onsite - Richmond, IL – Leica Biosystems
Leica Biosystems is part of Danaher Corporation, a global leader in life‑sciences diagnostics. We are seeking a Repair Center Engineer II to perform maintenance, modification, and repair of mechanical, electro‑mechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments in our Richmond, IL service center.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, modification, and/or repair on mechanical, electro‑mechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments.
- Identify root causes of instrument malfunctions and determine repair feasibility.
- Disassemble, replace, or repair defective parts and refrigeration subsystems.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification with at least 3 years of experience in performing maintenance, modification, and/or repair on mechanical, electro‑mechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place up to 50 lbs. Stand, walk (prolonged), sit; squat and kneel; ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
- Specialized Refrigeration Repair Certification (EPA Type I 608).
- Advanced knowledge of AC/DC circuitry identification and troubleshooting, and of mechanical assemblies and troubleshooting.
Hourly rate: $36.00/hour – $41.00/hour (subject to change). The role is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan for eligible employees.
