Job Description
As a Farm Drainage Laborer, you will support agricultural tile drainage projects through local daily travel between farm sites. Reporting to the site supervisor, you will assist with drainage installation, trenching, excavation, equipment operation, site preparation, pipe connections, and soil back filling while working with hand tools, excavators, skid steers, trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
- Support agricultural tile drainage installation projects.
- Perform trenching and provide excavation support.
- Assist with the operation of hand tools, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, trucks, and trailers.
- Prepare job sites for drainage installation.
- Make pipe connections.
- Complete soil back filling activities.
- Travel locally between farm sites each day.
- Follow direction from the site supervisor on job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in agricultural drainage installation.
- Physical stamina.
- Teamwork skills.
- Must be punctual and dependable work habits.
Beaver Creek Farm Drainage LLC is a family run business with many long tenured employees. There will be hard strenuous work at times, and a more relaxed environment during the slow seasons. There will also be times when the drainage employees will be required to help on the family farm.
