This position will be onsite at Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. in Loves Park, IL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on rental fleet equipment, including motors, bearings, seals, drive chains, blowers, pumps, floats, cloth media, backwash and solids handling components, hoses, fittings and control panels, at the interval established for each unit family.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults to the component level, and record the root cause so recurring failures can be identified across the fleet.
  • Clean, inspect and document the condition of every unit returned from rent, identify damage and wear, estimate repair hours and parts, and return the unit to available condition with minimum downtime.
  • Green tag units for shipment. No unit is tagged until it has been run, tested and verified against the readiness checklist for its family by the technician signing the tag.
  • Complete the readiness checklist, including function testing under load where possible, and verification of rotation, amp draw, fluid levels, torque, guarding, nameplates and safety labeling, with photographs and a condition record at time of tag.
  • Prepare units for shipment, confirming accessories, cables, anchors, hoses, spare parts and manuals are complete, and support crating, blocking and rigging.
  • Maintain maintenance history, run hours, condition and green tag status for every unit so the fleet record is accurate without physical verification.
  • Respond to expedited customer site requests on short notice when a rented unit is down or a customer has an emergency requirement, confirming site conditions before travel and bringing the required parts and tools.
  • On an as needed basis, install, connect, commission and start up rental units at customer sites with the site contractor, and instruct plant operators on operation and daily checks.
  • On an as needed basis, perform maintenance and repairs on deployed units in the field, and support demobilization at the end of a rental.
  • Submit a written field service report for every trip covering findings, work performed, parts used and hours, notify the Rental Fleet Manager the same day of any condition affecting billing or the scheduled return date, and elevate problems that cannot be resolved on site.
  • Coordinate repair parts, consumables and long-lead components with Purchasing and the parts room, including stock needed for recurring repairs.
  • Maintain required safety training and comply with all plant and site safety requirements, including confined space entry, lockout/tagout and fall protection.
  • Travel (20 to 30 percent), including short-notice trips and occasional overnight and weekend work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
