Family Services Specialist at Addus Home Care, Springfield, IL.
Pay: $17/HR; flexible schedule; daily pay available for select positions; direct deposit; mileage reimbursement $0.70/mile.
Responsibilities- Work with families in crisis through DCFS and various State contracts.
- Prepare written reports and maintain accurate records and court testimony.
- Prepare and sign client progress reports on a monthly basis.
- Scheduled dates and units of service.
- Specific goals/issues to be addressed for each date.
- Documentation of appointment outcome.
- Reports of progress for each identified goal.
- Recommendations for future service.
- Report all child abuse and neglect.
- Immediately report any significant events, changes in family circumstances, or unusual incidents involving the client or family members to supervisor.
- Attend all mandated training.
- Work directly with families in the home, teaching and demonstrating homemaking skills, parenting skills, anger management, and effective resource utilization.
- Supervised / Unsupervised visitation – provide transportation, observe interactions, and redirect according to parenting needs.
- Help families locate housing throughout local areas – public housing, private rent, or shelter care.
- Assist clients with finding jobs and community resources.
- Support intact families to prevent child placement out of the home.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution or two years of relevant social work experience.
- Dependable automobile, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Pass the CANTS background check and other required checks.
- Medical, hospitalization, vision, and dental benefits through employer-sponsored minimum essential plan.
- Retirement plan eligibility after 6 months of service (age 21).
- Accrued paid time off up to 40 hours per year based on hours worked.
- Holiday pay for employees averaging a minimum of 25 hours over a three-month period.
