The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front‑end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. • Analyzes customer’s needs for automated information.
• Writes code to meet customer’s needs.
• Provides direction to outside programmers / software suppliers.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
• Participates in evaluation of new ’business’ related software.
• Manages upgrades to existing software programs.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
• Participates in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software) as the need arises.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Participates in department meetings.
• Completes documentation of activities as required.
• Submits cost reduction and innovation ideas.
• Programming experience in a professional setting.
• Experience with Visual Basic, Progress, Windows XP/7, Lotus Notes.
• Experience leading to knowledge of manufacturing systems.
• Experience with wireless devices (scanners, printers, etc.).
• Good problem solving skills, good math skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Works well with others; strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and have a high tolerance for stressful situations.
• Strong understanding of business systems.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
• Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000
