We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Integrated Booking System (IBS) program supporting the Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). IBS is the lead execution system of the Defense Transportation System for the global shipment of ocean cargo in support of all peacetime, wartime, contingency, and humanitarian relief operations where Government personnel are involved. IBS provides SDDC the capability to electronically procure commercial transportation services for the global strategic deployment of DOD-sponsored cargo.
The IBS suite of interoperable applications includes, but is not limited to, providing automated tools to support carrier contract requirement definition, rate and service solicitations and evaluation, vessel schedules, booking unit and sustainment cargo, producing shipment documentation, providing cargo offering and status information, providing payment information, and producing order, customs, and manifesting documentation.
- Design, develop and integrate software components to construct the mission focused system.
- Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and security of the platform, ensuring smooth operations and efficient resource utilization.
- Leverage an understanding of cloud-native architectures and infrastructure automation in daily responsibilities.
- Collaborate as part of an integrated team.
- Partner with enterprise stakeholders to support IT and development teams, chart service delivery roadmaps, and manage project deliverables.
- Ensures product standards and requirements are met according the release schedule and sprint cycles.
Education and Experience
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field of study and a minimum of 4 years experience.
- Security + Certification.
- Experience in analyzing functional requirements, systems requirements and performing systems design and development.
- Experience working with one of the cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with one or more databases and software tools/frameworks such as JavaScript frameworks, Docker, AWS, Azure, Jenkins CI/CD, APIs, and automation testing tools.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies for problem solving and think out of the box.
- Communicate effectively regarding solutions and be a self-starter and possess strong sense of self-motivation.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to drive high-quality, iterative development.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
