Software Developer – Java and Python

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
• Active Secret Clearance with the ability to achieve Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility
• Experience in the embedded hardware product lifecycle (design, test, integration)
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium)
• Skilled in writing embedded firmware for microcontrollers
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Strong independent work ethic with effective cross‑functional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Detail‑oriented and proactive problem‑solving capabilities
• Adaptability to changing workloads and schedules
• Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

• Develop and analyze integrated engineering designs, translating high‑level requirements into concrete solutions
• Perform trade‑off analyses (risk/cost/benefit) to inform technical decisions, such as selecting microprocessors
• Design and integrate custom electrical circuits and durable mechanical packaging
• Create C/C++ bare‑metal firmware utilizing test‑driven development practices
• Manage code using Git Lab for configuration management processes
• Optionally develop full‑stack applications (SQL, C++ services, React/Next.js)
• Conduct developmental testing and evaluations to ensure solutions meet specifications
• Adhere to established program configuration management and documentation standards
