The Women’s Lacrosse Graduate Assistant position is an opportunity for a graduate student to learn and develop leadership skills by assisting the head coach with all aspects of the program. The GA will gain valuable experience supporting the student‑athletes through their academic and athletic experience.
Responsibilities- Assist the head coach with day‑to‑day operations including recruiting, monitoring the student‑athletes' academic and athletic progress, organizing practice and game strategies, administrative duties, film breakdown, and fundraising and community outreach programs.
- Assist with academic monitoring and integration of academics into lacrosse, using lacrosse as a tool to help students develop good academic and life habits.
- Assist in leadership and development of the current team through team‑building and character development programs.
- Perform additional duties assigned according to the GA’s strengths and the current team’s needs.
- Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
- Experience playing or coaching lacrosse or athletic administrative experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.
- Approximate work hours: 20 hours per week during the academic year (excluding breaks).
