Supervisory Diplomatic Clearance Specialist Security Clearance

Position: SUPERVISORY DIPLOMATIC CLEARANCE SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Scott Air Force Base

Duties
* As Division Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of (MODZD).
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with HQ Air Mobility Command, 18th Air Force, 618th Air Operations Center Command and Control Directorate, International Clearance Branch and a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
* Resolves operational issues and evaluates the mission impact of delays and/or cancellations.
* Serve as Air Mobility Command Focal Point for the Aircraft Diplomatic Clearance Function through written or verbal communication. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Qualifications Conditions of Employment Continued:
* This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions Transportation Operations Series 2150.

SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated Knowledge of air operations, flight operations, airfield information and restrictions, supplements (i.e. runway length, load bearing capabilities, types of fuel available), a wide range of diplomatic aircraft clearance policies and procedures, including the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, and AMC aircrew flying limitations and crew rest requirements.

Knowledge of DoD, AF, MAJCOM, and 618 AOC directives, plans, regulations, operating instructions, and processes including those related to handling hazardous cargo, knowledge of flying instructions, Flying Information Publications (FLIP) documents, guidelines, and worldwide route planning, computer flight plans, international airway routes and structure, oceanic routes, controlled and special use airspace, aeronautical charts, airways, and flight safety issues. Knowledge of AMC aircraft performance capabilities and limitations.

Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
