Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes.

• Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as local, state and federal regulations and company expectations; maintains a clean and safe vehicle.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR; notes issues for corrective review/repair.
• Immediately reports unsafe situations or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
• Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Operations Manager.
• Works with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify unsafe accounts.
• Performs duties as scheduled, assisting other drivers as directed.
• Notifies Operations Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notifies Dispatch or Operations Manager of issues per Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers or missed pickups.
• Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
• Completes dumps and leaves customer locations clean and free of debris.
• Positions containers properly and ensures lids are replaced and driveways remain clear.
• Follows route assignments and completes documentation at check-in and end of route.

• Experience:
  
  No prior work experience required.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B required; applicant must be 18 years of age.
• Pre-employment
  
  DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and motor vehicle record review required.
• Acceptable driving record required.
