CDL Class A Truck Driver

Elgin Recycling is hiring a full-time CDL Class A Truck Driver based at its Gilberts, IL yard. Earn $26.00 per hour while driving local Chicagoland routes and getting home every night
, with no over-the-road layovers. Join a family-owned recycling business with more than 30 years of operation and steady, year-round work. In this safety-focused role, you will pick up commercial and industrial materials and transport loads between customer job sites and company facilities.

• Complete local commercial and industrial material pickups across the Chicagoland area.
• Transport materials between customer job sites and Elgin Recycling facilities to support recycling operations.
• Safely operate fleet vehicles, including semi-tractors, roll-offs, flatbeds, and box trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow DOT safety regulations and company policies.

• Valid Class A CDL with no manual transmission restriction

• One to two years of tractor-trailer driving experience
  , including experience operating a manual transmission tractor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform active work around yards and job sites.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Safety-focused, punctual, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
• Flatbed or roll-off experience preferred.

$26.00 per hour
, paid biweekly. Full-time position with steady, year-round work.
