Position

The Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the accurate tracking, storage, and distribution of inventory within the warehouse. This role ensures that all products are properly accounted for, stored in the correct locations, and available for order fulfillment. The specialist will also oversee inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and collaborate with other teams to improve operational efficiency. Shift would be 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and manual checks.
    • Log incoming products to ensure quantities and conditions match order specifications.
    • Track stock levels, and update inventory systems in real‑time to reflect sales and shipments.
    • Coordinate stock rotation, ensuring the proper storage of goods in accordance with company policies.
  • Inventory Audits:
    • Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts, annual audits) to verify physical stock against system data.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during audits.
    • Prepare and report inventory status to the Warehouse Operations Manager and other relevant departments.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Support order picking, packing, and shipping processes by ensuring the right products are available and correctly labeled.
    • Communicate any low stock or out‑of‑stock items to the appropriate departments.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Maintain inventory logs and records of product movements within the warehouse.
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, such as stock shortages, overstock situations, or excess inventory.
    • Provide recommendations to improve inventory control processes.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all inventory is stored and handled in compliance with safety regulations.
    • Work with warehouse staff to maintain clean, organized, and efficient storage areas.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to manage stock levels, product returns, and the movement of goods.
    • Assist in the training of new warehouse employees on inventory control procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience (1‑3 years) in warehouse inventory management, logistics, or a similar role.
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar software).
    • Experience with barcode scanning and warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk for extended periods.
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperature.
Working Conditions
  • Full‑time position, may require overtime or weekend shifts depending on warehouse needs.
  • Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse setting, with exposure to equipment, machinery, and various weather conditions when unloading and shipping goods.
