Overview

CESE Heavy Equipment Mechanic Technician II – Imperial Beach, CA. Full time role with Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc.

Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic Technician II will provide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and material assessment of various types of Heavy Equipment mechanical systems and components in accordance with OEM technical specifications in CONUS & OCONUS locations, as required.

• Uses technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and identify causes for equipment/system failure to the component level.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
• Performs lay-ups and related maintenance checks of Heavy Equipment in mid-level storage program.
• Performs start-ups and related maintenance checks of Heavy Equipment in mid-level storage program.
• Provides written reports for all work accomplished and completed action documentation.
• Operates air brake equipped vehicles during the course of troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
• Performs other duties as assigned in support of maintenance/repair as required.
• Travels oversees when required.
• Maintains shop equipment.
• Provides technical support relative to the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Heavy Equipment mechanical systems, subsystems and components including but not limited to:
• Ford Power Stroke Engine
• Chevy Duramax Engine
• Cummins Diesel Engines
• John Deere Engines
• Kubota Engines
• Mercedes Engines
• Caterpillar Diesel Engine
• Duramax Turbo Diesel Engine
• Allison Transmissions
• 4L80E Transmission
• 15KW and 45KW Generators
• IGET HVAC System
• Hydraulic Systems for 55 ton Lowboy Trailers
• 15K and 30K Forklift Hydraulic Systems

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years of experience repairing and troubleshooting the aforementioned Heavy Equipment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of proper use of diagnostic equipment.
• Possess basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Possess effective oral and written communication.
• Have extensive knowledge of technical requirements.
• Ability to identify complex problems and solutions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible.
• Ability to travel overseas when required.
• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
• Possess a current and valid Passport.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License

• Prior military expeditionary equipment maintenance experience.

The pay range for this role is $31.28 - $33.57 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

• Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a field environment for extended periods (and in some cases, areas of extreme heat and humidity such as Guam, Djibouti, Bahrain, etc).
• Ability to be able to work in maintenance shop environment
• Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions.
• Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
• Job may require bending, stooping, lifting, and will be in an environment of low and high temperatures.
