Position: Substitute-Graphic Designer Continuous Applicant Pool

BASIC FUNCTION

Under the supervision of an assigned supervisor, coordinate graphics and duplicating activities with departments, faculty, and staff. Provide specialized assistance regarding graphics projects, web page design, and marketing materials.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Performs graphic design with minimal supervision, managing multiple assignments with attention to detail and creativity under tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Use current software and hardware to design 2D and 3D graphics.

Coordinate production, determine formats, and specify styles for reproductions.

Create illustrations for various print and digital materials.

Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students.

Manage off-campus printing jobs, including obtaining quotes and quality checks.

Maintain adequate supplies and materials.

Assist with photographing events as needed.

Recommend and maintain equipment; perform minor repairs.

Train and supervise student assistants.

Participate in meetings.

Maintain records of projects and assist with budget management.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Completion of two years of college coursework in Graphic Arts, Design, or Marketing, plus two years of related experience.
