Part-Time Faculty -Administration of Justice​/Correctional Science Continuous Pool

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suited for a motivated candidate with a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and fostering academic growth. A commitment to diversity and inclusion is essential. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

• Provide instruction according to approved curriculum and course outlines, based on college needs.
• Responsibilities include conducting classes, preparing lessons, evaluating students, developing syllabi, assessing learning outcomes, and other related duties.
• Maintain and submit accurate records such as grades, attendance, and syllabi by deadlines.
• Uphold standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Any bachelor's degree or higher with two years of professional experience.
• OR an associate’s degree with six years of professional experience.

Additional Requirements for Correctional Science:

• Successful completion of the AICC (Academy Instructor Certification Course) within 12 months of appointment.
• Sensitivity and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.
