Part-Time Faculty - Political Science Continuous Pool

Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suited for an exceptionally motivated candidate who demonstrates a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and has a passion for fostering academic growth and knowledge. • Provide instruction according to approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines, based on college needs.
• Responsibilities include conducting classes, preparing lessons, evaluating students, developing syllabi, assessing learning outcomes, and other related duties, based on class availability, seniority, and qualifications.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) by deadlines.
• Uphold standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Master's in political science, government, or international relations; OR
• Bachelor's in any of the above plus a Master's in economics, history, public administration, social science, sociology, ethnic studies, JD, or LL.B.; OR
• Equivalent qualifications.
