BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suited for an exceptionally motivated candidate with a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and a passion for fostering academic growth and knowledge. Qualifications:
An applicant may qualify through education and experience equivalent to the listed degrees. To be considered for equivalency, the candidate must submit college transcripts (transcripts must show degree awarded or conferred with a completion date) and a complete description of work experience with their application.
Required Degrees:
- Master's in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition, or public health.
- OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in any biological science OR the equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
