Part-Time Faculty - Computer Information Systems Continuous Pool

Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suitable for an exceptionally motivated candidate who demonstrates a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and possesses a passion for fostering academic growth and knowledge. • Provide instruction according to the approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines, based on the college's needs.
• Assignments depend on class availability, seniority, and qualifications, including conducting classes, preparing course materials, evaluating students, developing syllabi, assessing learning outcomes, and other related duties.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) by published deadlines.
• Uphold standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

Applicants may qualify through education and experience equivalent to the listed degrees. To qualify via equivalency, candidates must submit college transcripts and a detailed work experience description with their application.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher with two years of professional experience;
  OR
• Associate's degree with six years of professional experience.

Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
