Optometrist, Correctional Facility - Centinela State Prison (CEN) at California Correctional Health Care Services. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. The monthly part-time salary range is $3,891.50 to $5,159.50.

Under the general direction of the Receiver’s Medical Executive, the Optometrist conducts eye examinations using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities for the patient. Maintains order and supervises the conduct of inmates and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property. Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program (PLP 2025) may affect base salary;

This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent.

• Possession of a valid license to practice optometry in the State of California.
• Two years of experience in the practice of optometry.
