Position SummaryThe Columbia Initiative in Cell Engineering and Therapy (CICET) is seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to support program communications, graphic design, and research event coordination. This role will work closely with the Senior Program Manager to plan and execute educational and research dissemination activities, including workshops, lectures, symposia, and community engagement initiatives. The Project Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between faculty, staff, trainees, and external stakeholders to ensure professional and visually compelling program materials and presentations.
Responsibilities- Event Planning & Coordination
:
Support workshops, lectures, symposia, and community engagement events by managing logistics, schedules, room booking (Bede Work), visitor arrangements, and onsite coordination. - Communications & Marketing
:
Design and produce digital/print materials; develop PPT templates slide for symposium and conferences; maintain consistency of branding; manage distribution lists and internal communications platforms; ensure all activities comply with CUIMC Communications Office policies. - Digital & Social Media
:
Create, post, and monitor content across CICET’s social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, You Tube, Tik Tok) to expand program visibility. - Administrative & Operational Support
:
Assist with grant monitoring and reporting, internal regulatory submissions, Concur expense processing, visitor reimbursements, and provide cross-coverage for Administrative Coordinator - Faculty & Trainee Support
:
Serve as a point of contact for faculty, trainees, and external collaborators; support academic appointments, recruitment logistics, and dossier preparation; ensure smooth operations of CICET programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, communications, education, or related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in program communications, graphic design, or event coordination.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with digital communications and social media management.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and MS Teams, Bede Work
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience in higher education or research communications (CUMC systems preferred).
