Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

The University of South Carolina Beaufort invites applications for an Assistant Professor position (11-month) beginning August 2025 in the Department of BFT Nursing. The appointment includes classroom and simulation instruction with a teaching load of 4 courses per term (4/4) and additional instructional responsibilities during the summer term. The BSN program offers a pre-licensure track and courses are taught at two locations: USCB Bluffton campus and Beaufort Memorial Hospital Complex in Beaufort, SC.

The nursing program is CCNE-accredited and approved by the SC Board of Nursing. Rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience. A doctoral degree is required for tenure-track consideration.

Teach a variety of classroom and clinical courses to BSN students; participate in student advisement; engage in service on department, college, and university committees; and contribute to scholarship within the discipline. The successful candidate will have experience in medical-surgical nursing and will support the program’s mission to deliver high-quality nursing education in a small university setting.

Required Qualifications:

• An unencumbered multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• National certification in simulation
• PhD ( ABD considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field
• Experience with high-fidelity simulation
• National certification in nursing education (CNE), medical-surgical nursing, or family nursing
