Project Details
Saint Paul is requiring a licensed engineer with state design plans to complete our deck repair. Attached is a crude drawing of what needs to be done.
Use Google Street View to view the existing deck at 164 Congress St W, Saint Paul, MN 55107.
- Open to new layout of posts or reuse existing locations; we may need to dig out old footings or verify depth of current ones.
- Deck structure must meet code requirements.
- Posts: 6x6 with 3/4" LP Smartside trim, wrapped with additional trim around the cap and bottom.
- Guardrail: generic Trex style or equivalent from Home Depot.
- Skirting underneath the deck (example attached).
