Summary:

** Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. The Pharmacy Technician I report to the Pharmacy Manager. Under general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician I support the drug distribution activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services.
** Minimum Training and Education**:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP). This technician must complete the PTCB board certification exam and pass within 6 months of hire. If the Technician I care team member has not attained PTCB certification within one year of employment (during the probationary period) they will be separated from service.
