** ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Directing guests through parking and arrival areas while giving a warm welcome prior to entering the Glacier Discovery Centre (GDC)
* Educating guests on Pursuit Attractions and guiding them through the purchasing process
* Providing guests information on the local area
* Assisting with tour group check-in, and coordinating with Dispatch regarding any changes
* Ticket validation as guests begin the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Skywalk tours
* Loading & coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers
* Operating the point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency, including responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms
* Communicating with co-workers and management, forwarding observations and comments in a timely fashion
* Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees
* Other duties as assigned
** REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
*** Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
* Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
* Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset
* Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
* Ability to think on the fly and outside the box with a positive attitude
* Second language is an asset
* Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
* Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
* Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills an asset
* Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
* Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
* Be prepared for all season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
* To honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check
* Standard First-Aid or higher an asset

The starting wage for this role is $18.50/hour.
