Senior DevOps Engineer

MCS Group is working with a global leader in the Fin Tech industry as part of an exciting expansion project. They are looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer
, with experience in Python and AWS, to help build out their operations in Belfast. As a Dev Ops Engineer
, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. You'll play a key role in automating deployments, enhancing observability, and enabling high-performance development practices.

• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (Python).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD).
• Support deployment and integration alongside engineering and QA teams.
• Implement observability with tools like Open Telemetry and the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir).
• Manage containerised workloads with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm Charts.
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance.
• Follow cloud governance standards and maintain clear documentation.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and mentor team members on Dev Ops practices.

• Proven Dev Ops experience (preferably in finance or regulated sectors).
• Strong skills in AWS, AWS CDK, and IaC.
• Solid experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Familiarity with observability tools and performance monitoring.
• Agile mindset, excellent communication, and a passion for automation.

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Ability to document processes and infrastructure clearly.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
