Hamilton Island is Australia’s premier holiday destination in the Whitsundays, home to four resort options, over 15 dining and restaurant outlets, a championship golf course, and a luxury Yacht Club. We’re currently looking for Kitchen Stewards to join our dedicated and hard-working back-of-house Food & Beverage team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a hospitality career from the ground up while living in one of the most spectacular locations in the country.

As a Kitchen Steward
, you’ll work behind the scenes in one of our high-paced resort or restaurant kitchens. Your main focus will be supporting chefs, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring hygiene compliance across all back-of-house operations.

• Wash and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
  
  Unpack deliveries and manage stock rotation
• Support chefs with general cleaning and basic prep tasks
• Comply with food safety and safe work practices
• Physically active role in a busy, fast-paced environment

You’re someone who takes pride in doing a great job, thrives in a team, and is reliable, enthusiastic, and physically fit. You understand that every plate of food starts with a clean kitchen and clean tools — and you’re the person who makes that happen.

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a physically demanding role (Preferred)
• A strong work ethic and positive, team-first attitude
• Willingness to work varied shifts and adapt to changing demands
• Excellent personal presentation and hygiene standards
• Good level of physical fitness – this is an active role
